Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Support daily accounting entries, including general ledger updates, accruals.
• Help in the reconciliation of accounts, such as Nostro, suspense, and inter-branch accounts.
• Participate in regulatory and compliance reporting.
• Assist with the budgeting process, actual vs. budget variance analysis, and management reports.
• Help coordinate with internal and external auditors, and prepare audit schedules.
• Support ad-hoc analysis, data validation tasks, and finance system testing.

• Learn to work within a bilingual, cross-border reporting environment. Develop communication and coordination skills in a multi-cultural, global banking setting.
• Understand accounting standards.
• Exposure to compliance requirements in overseas financial jurisdictions, alongside head office reporting expectations.

Internship Requirements

Qualifications:
• This internship is for a duration of 3 to 6 months and is open only to students who are in their final semester or nearing the completion of their studies, including Master’s students currently pursuing their degree or recent graduates
• Undergraduate or postgraduate student major in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in international banking and finance operations.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) preferred.
