The Singapore-China Youth Interns Exchange Scheme (YES) is a bilateral exchange scheme that enables Singaporean  and Chinese youths to intern in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) for up to 6 months and vice versa. Youths from Singapore and China will be able to access the list of internship opportunities and relevant information on this website.

Application Process for
Youths Interning in China

Application

Online application through YES website.

Interview

Shortlisted applicants will undergo interview selection with host company.

Internship Contract

Host company to issue an internship contract to the prospective intern.

Letter of Confirmation (LOC) Application

School will apply for LOC on behalf of its students to Business China.

Young working adults will apply for LOC via enquiry@yes.org.sg directly.

VISA Application

With the LOC, Host company to apply for an entry permit at Authority of Work Permit for Foreigners in China with necessary documents and send to the intern.

With the entry permit, interns to apply for Z-Visa at the Chinese Embassy in Singapore.

Arrival in China

Interns to complete a medical check-up.

For internship ≥ 90 days, interns to apply for Work Permit for Foreigners in China at visa processing office within 15 days.

Finally, interns to apply for Residence Permit at Local Exit & Entry Administration.

Host company to issue an internship contract to prospective intern.

Letter of Confirmation (LOC) Application

Intern to apply a Letter of Confirmation (LOC) from National Centre for Human Resources Mobility PRC.

Young working adults will apply for LOC via enquiry@yes.org.sg directly.

Training Employment Pass (TEP) Application

Host company to apply TEP for prospective interns through Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) website. MOM will issue an In-Principle Approval (IPA) Letter to the company, to be sent to the prospective intern.

Interns to embark on internship with the IPA letter.

Arrival in Singapore

Interns to complete medical check-up and inform MOM on their address in Singapore.

Interns to obtain TEP on MOM website receiving medical report.
